Flipknowvation has just completed the development of a simplified easy read booklet on the Zambian National Budget for the Civil Society Poverty Observatory Group (CSP-OG)
The booklet focuses on enhancing public knowledge of the budget making steps and encourages public involvement in all aspects of the budget making process.
CS-POG is an alliance of 50 Civil Society
organisations in Zambia working across all the 10 provinces that seeks to exert greater accountability for poverty reduction efforts in Zambia and provide cutting edge policy advice
to the Zambian Government on poverty alleviation and sustainable development goals, as espoused in Zambia’s National Development framework.
CS-POG in Zambia is a civil society mechanism for undertaking poverty observation with the aim of ensuring a higher level of accountability on poverty alleviation targets through critical analyses of current
poverty reduction programmes being undertaken and providing policy options to the Zambian Government.
The Secretariat for CS-POG is the Zambia Council for Social Development.
