The ‘Flip Project’ is a project to enhance citizen’s participation in the life of their communities.
The Flip Project is managed by Flipknowvation Limited (a communications and research company) and NewZambian Innovations. (a civil society organisation).
The project has developed a participatory internet social media platform called Constituency Watch on facebook to enhance public social accountability and various multimedia materials such as a set of TV shows (Skits in various forms including satirical and cartoon content), The Kavundula Weekly Newspaper and The Flip Magazine and documentaries in partnership with other organisations.
The cartoon magazine ‘Flip’, was the first of its kind for Zambia with cartoons as primary content and focussing on social, economic and political issues with a satirical slant. The Kavundula Weekly Newspaper also presents a first in Newspaper design, content and innovation. The newspaper is built on a foundation of people’s diverse voices sourced from various social media. It acts as a bridge between digital and print media, ushering in a new age of citizen journalism. The backbone of the publication is not trained journalists but a collation of social media tweets of news and commentary on issues at the core of Zambian society.
You can read the magazines we are publishing electronically here and visit our developing interactive web-platform here and look out for The Kavundula Weekly Newspaper on the street. Its an A4 size Paper. Also, wait for us to upload our Online TV channel soon. Read here

If you email the address,I can attach my drafts and email them you in the hope of joining your team as a part-time contributor.
Thank You,
